Experience
Beginning in 2016 through September 2018 Jessica worked tirelessly toward attaining her certification as a therapeutic riding instructor. After volunteering weekly with Therapeutic Riding programs and travelling across the prairies to obtain many invaluable mentorship hours, Jessica successfully challenged her intermediate instructor level of certification with CanTRA.
Working and volunteering as a CTRII Jessica has gained four years experience with therapeutic riding programs instructing and developing all aspects of programming. Working closely with horses and individuals with a variety of abilities, Jessica has realized her passion which drives her to facilitate expanding the reach of therapeutic riding. Having grown up with horses from the age of five to now owning and caring for 14 rescued horses and ponies, Jessica has experienced the true magic of horses.
She believes everyone deserves the opportunity to share in some of that magic. The importance of finding a
balance between mental and physical health is the motivating force behind the creation of BEND Therapeutic Riding.
